Abstract

This study analyzed the dairy cattle recording system implemented at UD. Sultoni, a dedicated dairy farm in Blitar District, East Java. Accurate recording is essential for monitoring production performance and farm management. The recording system documented key identification data including ear tag numbers, gender, weights and reproductive information. Milk production recording included daily yields, quality parameters and milking schedules. Health records tracked vaccinations, treatments, physical examinations and disease history. Origin data provided breeding and acquisition details. Recording was primarily through integrated digital tables allowing easy input, storage and analysis of data. Preliminary results found the system aided selection of high-producing cattle, identified production influences and optimized feeding management. With efficient utilization of recorded data, dairy farms can maximize productivity, milk quality and market competitiveness through evidence-based decision-making. Further analysis of UD. Sultoni's practices may provide valuable insights for other dairy producers.
