Overview of Knowledge of Women of Childbearing Age about Copper-T IUD Contraception in Sananwetan Village

This study was conducted to determine the knowledge of women of childbearing age about the COPPER-T IUD contraception in Sananwetan Village, Blitar City. This study used a descriptive quantitative design. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from 50 respondents who were domiciled in Sananwetan Village, Blitar Regency, East Java Province, selected using purposive sampling techniques through observation and (public opinion survey), while secondary data were obtained from previous research results or data obtained from related agencies and in accordance with the research theme. The data obtained were then analyzed using distributive distribution. The results of statistical analysis show that 50% of respondents are between 26-35 years old, 44% of respondents have a high school education, 46% of respondents have 1 child, 74% of respondents are housewives, 62% of respondents have received information about IUDs from midwives, 80% of respondents have good knowledge about the various benefits obtained by using the Copper T IUD and only 52% of respondents have good knowledge about the timing of using the Coppet T IUD. This study can be concluded that the knowledge of women of childbearing age in Sananwetan Village, UPTD Health, Sananwetan District, Blitar City about the Coppet T IUD is good, but they still lack understanding in determining the timing of its use.
